What is the difference between WIRELESS LAN LWAPP and WIRELESS LAN LWAP RECOVERY images? I believe the RECOVERY is used in the upgade process - but what is the other used for?

Lwapp stands for lightweight ap protocol, it is a communication protocol used btw ap and controller, in cisco terms lwapp image running on ap require wireless controller. Recovery image is used to upgrade iOS ap to lightweight to use with wireless controller. 1240 supports both Lwapp and capwap unlike new model 3600 ap that supports only capwap which is advanced version of Lwapp.
