Can AIR-AP2802I-F-K9 join WLC C9800

Dear Cisco Community,

Please kindly advice my customer have existing APs AIR-AP2802I-F-K9 

and they want to refresh the WLC to C9800-L-C/K9

can the existing access point join to the new WLC and get the Wifi6 ?

if yes, do you have any specific documentation for the integration tutorial

 No because that capacity is  a property of the particular access point model , which can only do up to  802.11ac

ok I got it that the existing AP can get Wifi 6 but they are still able join to WLC 9800 if we buy the AIR-DNA License?

9800 controller will be able to support 2800.

2800, however, does not support 802.11ax/WiFi 6.
