Hi, we recently installed several AP's 1242AG with domain regulatory N.
The client has a LAN controller 4402, besides this AP's with domain N the client has other AP's 1232 with domain regulatory A.
The controller updated the firmware to AP's,the AP's we're configured using H.REAP protocol. On the controller we can see the radios for the AP's are enabled.
The client uses the AP's for capture serials numbers using a Motorola handheld model MC3190.
If we're using a laptop to verify signal we get the signal for these AP's, but if we use the handheld we don't see any association of the AP's with regulatory domain "N". Is there a way to add some firmware or patch to those AP's or to the LAN controller for using the motorola handheld and associate to the AP's?
At the moment we're using only the 2.4GHz band on all AP's, the LAN controller handle both US and MX domain.
The current firmware of LAN controller: 4.2.176.0
Model: 4402
Technical info for N AP:
Product ID: AIR-AP1242AG-N-K9
Version ID: V01
Serial No: FTX1405B1NS
H-REAP Mode supported: Yes
Technical info for A AP:
Product ID: AIR-AP1242AG-A-K9
Version ID: V01
Serial No: FTX1220B03Y
H-REAP Mode supported: Yes
For testing purposes in the LAN controller we forced those AP to be into the US domain, but the A channel get disabled.
Please help us,
Thank you.

Unfortunately, no. It's not possible because it's a hardware (chip) burnt in.
You may want to try to allow an "A" country domain (like US, for instance) in the configuration of the WLC.
