Can I remove the "Domain/" from the username part in the login process for PEAP?

Hi All,

Again here, I configured and tested PEAP on our ISE with no problems because we want to implement that on our network. The only thing that I found in this process is that for our windows 7 users, the USERNAME field in the login process is requiring DOMAIN/username or username@DOMAIN as credential. We would like to keep our current authentication process which only use the username (no domain) + password.

Is there any way to configure a PREFFIX option in the ISE or Windows Wireless Profile for the PEAP connection so I do not have to add the domain in the username credential?

I tried username: DOMAIN/ciscotest password: testing and ciscotest@domain password:testing with success.

thanks

Abraham

If the device is joined to the domain it is authenticating against, and the user is logged in to the device with domain credentials, then you shouldn't need to provide the domain prefix.  Even the credential tile prompting you should reflect the "domain name" under the password (if the above is the case).

If the device is not joined to the domain or the user is logged in with a local account, then you will need to use the DOMAIN\user.
