Can I setup Cisco Business 240AC AP setup without controller?

Hello,

I have been given a Cisco Business 240AC AP and want to set it up at home as a standalone AP to provide coverage upstairs. I do not have a controller, therefore, I'm confused about how to set it up. 

I connected the AP to a PoE switch and it is powered on and the LED is flashing green. but I cannot see the CiscoBusiness-Setup SSID. Is there any way to setup using SSH or by using a ip address?

Have you tried to factory reset the ap?

I have reset the ap using the instruction but I'm unable to see the ssid.

Is there a ip address I can use?

I don’t know my ch about those AP’s but resetting the ap then following the install guide it typically the process. Now you must make sure the ap has network connection with internet and gets a dhcp address. Typically if these are not met, you will not see the ssid.

I manage to get it to work after resetting it again. 

Its currently set to DHCP but can I change it to static later on.

Take a look at the guide. You might be better off with a dhcp Mac reservation if you are able to do that.
