Can I upgrade my controller from....

Primary Boot Image............................... 7.0.220.0 to 7.2.115.1 without any issues? Or do I need to upgrade to a lower version first? What might I lose doing the upgrade?

What's the model of your WLC?

If you have WiSM-1, 2K, 2100 or 4400, you cannot upgrade beyond 7.0.240.X.  If you have the newer models, you can go as high as 7.4.100.X (the latest).
