Can't join wlc with trunk port flexconnect mode

I tried a lot to switch to flexconnect mode, but the join with WLC failed

the poe and ap connection ports as access ports and access vlan,

it becomes a join with wlc regardless of the ap mode

However, if you switch to trunk and specify native vlan, it will not be a join with wlc..

I set trunk on all paths from ap to wlc and made vlan

I also set up the vlan support function and native vlan in the flexconnect group setting in the WLC

I've done a lot of tests, but I don't understand why this is happening

Is there anyone who can help me with this

You have to look at it this way.  Doesn't matter if you use access vlan 100 as an example or if you use a trunk port with native vlan 100.  It's the same things.  What you need to do is console into the ap and take a look at the output from when you connected to an access port vs connecting to a trunk port.  You can even connect a laptop to the port and it should get an ip address with access port or trunk with a native vlan.  Test that first, if your laptop doesn't get an ip, then you are not spanning that vlan all the way through.

First of all, thank you very much for your response, Scott
By connecting the console, the ip address of the AP is statically specified
Is there anything else I should check in this case as well?

I would not use static.  Like I mentioned, use dhcp and test with a laptop, that will prove that you have connectivity.

Thank you for replying to me, Scott

But now all AP equipment is configured as static, so we should have designated the test AP as static as well.

May I ask you one more question?

If the behavior of trunk native vlan 100 and access vlan 100 were the same, the WLC had to find an ap the same as access when the port was switched to trunk.

But if join consistently fails, is there something missing the setup? It's hard to solve with my knowledge

The ap is the one that has to find the controller, not the other way around.  You need to test with a laptop, please do that first and make sure dhcp is enabled on that vlan.

Keep in mind, its not best practice to use static on access points.  You will have more problems than good.
