Hello,
just a question, what happens if you install single band antennas onto dual band ap connectors, would it work?

Yes that is correct. You can use this antenna and disable 2.4GHz and you can use that antenna while disabling unused connection at the AP that has 4 feeders.

Vlad - do you recall how to disable a particular connector on a 2600/3600/3700 AP?
Thanks,
Darren

Yes, you can do that to install single band antennas onto dual band AP connectors. It will definitely work but not recommended.

not recommended as "not done" or "not supported".

Not working on indoor mode, but working on outdoor mode.
tested single band antenna (cisco) on cisco 2702e, using airmagnet to test the signal level, 0 dB, same as no antenna installed.
tested 5GHz directional antenna on Cisco IW3702e, didn't disable the 2.4GHz, still working.

I have used single band on 2702's before and it works. Now the single band was 2.4ghz and we later swapped the antenna with a dual band. I'm assuming your single band was a 4 lead antenna.
