Cannot access Cisco 1852e through web interface

I have a Cisco 1852e on my network. It is broadcasting and I can connect and access the internet. I can also ping the device and can SSH into it but I cannot access it through the web interface. How can I turn on http on this device? The CLI command ip http server does not do anything.

Hi @rmiller

 If the Access Point is joined to an WLC you cannot access its web interface, only CLI is available.

 If the Access Point is in Mobility Express mode, then you should connect to its web interface by using the IP address.

 For Mobility Express you dont need to enable http service it is enabled by default.

There is no controller -- is that what you mean by WLC? How do I confirm whether it is in Mobility Express mode?

You can access via CLI and issue show running-config. You might see Mobility Express somewhere. Or you can share here.

I would say it's enabled but I'm not exactly sure what to look for -- there's nothing too explicit.

Then this takes me to the conclusion that you have a capwap AP and not an Mobility Express AP.

 You can convert it but it is necessary to have mobility express image.
