Hi all
I have today installed a cert for web authentication to my guest network on my controller.
However, I have enabled https management on the controller to configure it and it just comes up with page cannot be displayed.
Any ideas why this is ?
cheers

Carl,
You installed a 3rd party cert for the WebAuth or Management? What I would do is to make sure you have rebooted the WLC and also add the WLC VIP and management IP in DNS so the cert can be valid to the end devices. You can also always remove the certificate you have installed.

ok, I have only added the cert, to web auth cert. the one for the web auth management is manufacturer installed one.
how would i remove the cert ?
also it seems if I try to telnet to the controller on port 443 it looks like its not open, even though https management is enabled.
any ideas ?
cheers

Did you reboot the WLC? Did you add the WLC name and ip to DNS?

On the GUI, go to Managment>HTTP-HTTPS and then on the top right, click on regenerate certificate. Or from the CLI:
config certificate generate

Well instead of trying to fix it, I would just restore it to factory defaults and configure the WLC again. To me that is the easiest and shouldn't take that long at all. I would just enable http to access it for now until you get a change to restore the WLC. Are you 100% sure that it is the certificate that caused it? When you regenterated the certificate, you also rebooted the WLC and it still shows up with the 3rd party cert?
Thanks,
Scott
