hi,
I just installed prime infrastrcutre for 1 week, but the web interface stopped twice!
When the web interface is down, i ssh to the server and issue ncs status, i found the nms server is stopped.
i need to issue "ncs stop" and "ncs start" to resume the web page.
anyone encountered this issue?
is there any bug or causes?
thanks.

I had that issue on PI 1.2 but not in PI 1.3. I had no issue with some I my customers on PI 1.2 though. I'm thinking is was something during the upgrade from NCS to PI 1.2 that caused the issue but not sure. Try to upgrade to PI 1.3 if you are on PI 1.2. Also make sure you have enough resources on your VM if its a VM and not an appliance.

I am already in PI 1.3 and it is a new install... i backed up the ncs data and imported in this PI 1.3.
It is a VM and has enough resources...
I found that whenever somone load the maps in PI, the web server went down...
not sure if it is a bug or not....:(

I just opened the same ticket..

I also had the same problem with ncs 1.1.24 every time we listed the Guest users and browsed to last page. With PI 1.2 I had it once after exact 60 Days running without any problem. With PI 1.3 until now, no problem.
Symptom was ncs status stopped, do you have also tried an "ncs status" on the PI cli ?
I still have no resolution, but you can manually do a ncs start each time it goes down.

seems many people encounter this issue....is it a bug?
yes, i can manually restart the ncs service whenever it goes down, but my customer would kill me....
it is quite unacceptable if i tell the same to the customer.

I am going to see if my TAC engineer thinks it has anything to do with
CSCua71010. We are able to crash the NMS server by playing with the AP templates.

any update from your TAC engineer?
i have opened a ticket too...but no update yet so far....
i even tried to reinstall the server...but the issue still exists...
now the NMS server stops serveral times a day...even without anyone doing anything on it...

Wow, one issue that I so far did not encounter. I upgraded from 1.2 which I upgraded from NCS which I upgraded from WCS
If you are good in linux, you might want to login as root over ssh (login as admin and type root). In there you could check the logfiles of the webserver. But only if you are wondering why it's crashing and if you're good in linux.
