Cannot see "Internal DHCP server" option under Controller menu

I'm working with vWLC 8.5 and have to use Internal DHCP server on WLC. However, I cannot see it anywhere in GUI  advance mode. The 'HOME/Best practice' page shows "the Internal DHCP server" disabled.

Is there way to enable it and get it visible in the WLC's GUI? It's silly but I cannot find it.

Really appreciate any help.

DHCP Services is not supported. Here is a link to the release notes stating that dhcp is not supported on the vWLC.

Go to Controller > Internal DHCP Server > DHCP Scope

Create  a DHCP scope and enable it.

Thats all.

Thanks for the quick reply.

However, that's the point. There is no such thing as "Internal DHCP Server" under Controller tab in GUI. I deployed vWLC three times and it've never showed up in GUI. If I go to HOME page (the first page after  login page) and all the way down to the "best practice", then you can see the Internal DHCP server checked as DISABled.

So the question is how to enable it and get it in the GUI under Controller tab? or is there anything during the initial install which would make it "ENABLED"

Best,

Thanks Scott and Sandeep.

I can see it now. The purpose for vWLC Lab was to verify my HW WLC 5520 Internal DHCP server functionality. My WLC 5520  ver 8.2.151.0 has the same issue. I cannot see "Internal DHCP Server" option under "Controller" menu.

Can you help to get it enabled and visible on WLC 5520 ?

Thanks again,

The newer controllers don’t have internal dhcp support. You will have to use an external dhcp server.
