Hello everybody
We have a Captive Portal on our Firewall.
My question is - can i use the Captive bypassing for all Portals or only for a Portal on the WLC?
that's all.
Thank you in advance

Can you explain this a little but more? What I can say is that captive bypass in the WLC only works for wireless and when associated to an access point on that WLC.

Sure.
Its like this:
We have our WLCs with huindreds of APs.
there we have a Public WLAN
To use this Public WLAN you need to athenticate on a CaptivePortal.
This Portal is running on our Palo Alto Firewall. this firewall is hosting the captive portal and also sends the requests to our RADIUS server.
SO we have our Wireless Env. the Firewall and the RADIUS Server.
the WLC has nothing to do with any user authentification. all will be done on the firewall.
is the bypass only for Captive Portal who are Running on the WLC or working with the WLC like an Captive Portal on the ISE.
OR is the bypassing in gerneral for forrwarding Wisper requests?

Its specific for WISPr....
Here is a explanation for it, I would not know how this would help if your PA FW is doing the captive portal as the wireless is a pass through.
Thanks,
Scott
