My question is how I can enter in configuration mode so that I can type  commands.

Which key should i press from my laptop?

lets suppose i have to configure the static IP address to capwap access point.

Let's suppose you DON'T.

You see the line that regularly says "Could not discover WLC.  Either IP address is not assigned or assigned IP is wrong.  Renewing DHCP IP address."

You go into configuration mode and configure a static IP address, guess what happens?  The AP will erase it and revert back to DHCP.

The method to use the "Mode" button is fool-proof.  If you know what you're doing, then go ahead.  But if don't (otherwise you wouldn't be asking for assistance) use the "Mode" button method.  It'll save you a lot of time.

Tanks Leo Laohoo,

If you got my issue then kindly let me know how I can enter in configuration mode. I want to assign static IP to access point.

Abdul Karim

Thanks Leo,

actually issue was with my terminal.
