Hello everyone.
I have an AIR-AP2802E-E-K9 access point that I want to convert from CAPWAP to mobility express. It currently has AP running image: 8.2.121.0
I understand, I indeed to upgrade it to a higher version before I can convert from Capwap to mobility express. My challenge is that when I enter the command to assign an IP address it gives me the message as shown:
#capwap ap IP 10.10.36.150 255.255.255.0 10.10.36.1
Capwap process not ready yet. Try again after few moments.
Capwap socket is not ready, save static IP addr to config file.
I have waited for hours. Please what do I need to do, how do I save the static IP address to config file? I have read similar posts here but none has really addressed this issue besides advising to contact TAC. I did that and I was told to contact the point of sale. The point of sale is not known to me, It has been on this shelve for long and I decided to use it. Cant have such an asset and allow it to be engulfed by dust.
Secondly, I was able to download the mobility express software from cisco but was unable to download the latest Capwap AP release that I need to upgrade to before conversion. Kindly assist with this software.
Regards,
Boma.
