Assuming you are getting an error on boot that the hardware is not authentic, it's probably going to be some failure and need to do an RMA if you have support. As it is EoL I don't know if the lifetime RMA is still active.

if it isn't the version but Marce posted, then what I do is call in to the tac number and have them enter an RMA service ticket if the serial allows it. If you have service on the switch you basically just open a TAC case.

Check the product data sheet.
If you want any more help here you should provide the complete model number (PID) of the switch and the IOS software version which it is running.

This is a very well-known issue affecting 2960X/XR, 3650, 3850, 6840 switches.
There is no recourse other than to RMA the appliance.
3650 can still be RMA-ed under Enhanced Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty.
