Hi! I was reading about TKIP and CCMP...
TKIP seems to have something called MIC, which is a method used to provide integrity to the messages
CCMP seems to have CBC-MAC to do the same, but the CCNA book says this:
Cipher Block Chaining Message Authentication Code (CBC-MAC) used as a message
integrity check (MIC)
I have also read that CBC-MAC generates a 64-bit MIC ... Here is where I got confused because I thought MIC was only something related to TKIP... I thought it was a protocol but it seems to mean a message..
I would appreciate your help!
