Hi all,
Can we use Cisco aironet 1152E Mesh AP as a Point - to - Point bridge connecting 2 sites 1 Km apart.
Pls suggest the considerations before deplying.

Hi Nasir,
I think you can use the mesh AP as a PTP link. But you have to enable ethernet bridging to achieve this.

If this works for the 1Km distance, that all depends on your antenna.
Check mesh deployment guide about how to implement Point-to-Point links (enable ethernet bridging and that is it)

That is pretty far for mesh especially for omni antennas on the 1552. You should go with a PTP bridge. Cisco sells the Exalt r5005 that will get you 160mbps.

Thanks for the information, but i guess Exalt r5005 is not oderable from Cisco directly ?
If not Cisco Aironet 1550 AP , what about 1520, 1300, 1400 AP ???
