Hi all, we have hit a slight problem with a Mobility Express installation using 1832i we use a splash page to povide T&C's that users need to accept prior to using the guest network. The issue is that the web pages use Https and not Http and users get the security warning. Now I know that I could go off to go-daddy or verisign etc and get a valid certificate but there is nothing that I need to secure(no username or password). There is an option to allow http for management though I cannot find the same for user connections. Do any of you gurus out there know if this is possible and where it can be enabled please? Full blown WLC's have the option to use either http or https for either management or guest user login or any flavour thereof.

After scrolling through the CLI command reference I eventually found this command
(Cisco Controller) > config network web-auth secureweb enable
this turns on https, which is on by default, if you use
(Cisco Controller) > config network web-auth secureweb disable
then this will turn off https and enable http login pages for client authentication

Just to note you must reboot the AP/Controller for this to take effect
