Can I associate Cisco 1524 access points and Cisco 1040 access point with a Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controllers?
Your WLC should be running at least 7.0.116.X.
But the most important thing is the regulatory domain of both APs and the WLC.

Hi,
Fisrt of all what is the code of WLC 2500,paster the output of : sh sysinfo from wlc.
AIR-LAP1524SB
-A, C and N: 6.0 or later
All other reg. domains: 7.0.116.0 or later.
AIR-LAP1524PS
-A: 4.1.192.22M or 5.2 or later1
AP 1040 minimum software is 7.0.98.0
Reagrds
Your WLC software should be minimum ios 7.0.116.0.
