Hi there! The Cisco AIR-ANT2524V4C-R antenna comes with a standard 3 ft (91.4 cm) plenum rated, UV stable cable. Is there a possibility to extend this cables?
We have a building there is no room to place the accesspoint near the external antenna.
But there is a possibility around 30ft / 10m distance from the antenna for the accesspoint.
any ideas?
Best Regards
Andri

Cisco makes antenna cables which you can use for this, where in this case you need four of them with "RP-TNC" connectors. Keep in mind that how longer the cable, the more loss you will run into. This antenna does not have a lot of gain, which does not give you a lot of room for raising the TX power on the access-point to compensate for the cable loss (because the chance is you already had it on the maximum).
I advice you to manually calculate the EIRP to check if the solution does still meet your requirements. See for more information and product numbers this link.

Whenever practical/possible, please keep antenna cable runs as short as possible. Cisco offers low loss (LL) and ultra low loss (ULL) cables, which have the same characteristics as Times Microwave LMR-400 and LMR-600.
Cisco cables carry the part number AIR-CAB (Aironet Cable) and then a length. For example, a 20 Ft length of LL cable with RP-TNC connector is Cisco AIR-CAB-020LL-R. These heavy black cables are not Plenum rated and are primarily for outdoor use or manufacturing areas.
