Cisco 2802E Local Mac Address filtering not working.

Hi All,

I'm new to Cisco AP's and i'm having a bit of bother with a new Cisco 2802E AP.  I'm using this AP as the central controller and as the DHCP Server for the network that they sit on.  So the DHCP side of it is working fine, but it's handing out address to any device that can connect to the SSID using the Password.

So to stop this i thought i was doing the right thing by adding local Mac address filtering, and for the purpose of testing i added my laptops Mac address to a new whitelist. I then then proceeded to connect to the SSID with my phone expecting it to be blocked it, when it connected, it too was issued a DHCP Lease.

What am i doing wrong - What is the correct way of only allowing devices with specific mac addresses to obtain an ip address from the controller.

Kind Regards,

Richard.
