Hi All,
Recently installed new access (Cisco 9100 series) and continuing to have issues with roaming using laptops running Intel AX200/AX201 wireless chipset (HP Laptop G5/6/7), iPhones or older laptops are not experiencing this issue and working (roaming) fine.
Effectively HP Laptop G5/6/7 unable to cleanly roam and when static will drop good signal from the nearest AP and roam to one with less signal strength/throughput and have generally problematic roaming behaviour.
I understand from a wireless infrastructure point of view that clients initiate roaming but any help would be greatly appreciated. Or if you may have experienced something similar, what fix was implemented to overcome this issue.
Cheers,

- Does this lead to effective connectivity problems, note that clients may perfectly decide to roam to an ap with a lesser signal, you may check for driver updates here : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30208/Windows-10-Wi-Fi-Drivers-for-Intel-Wireless-Adapters

Could be client driver, could be AP firmware, could be some enabled settings.
If enabled, you can try to disable 802.11r (FT) on the SSID, this is the feature causing the most issues.
