Cisco AIR-AP1542D vs AIR-AP1562D

Hi, could I know the difference between Outdoor APs 1542D and 1562D? I know that 1562 series supports external antennas but other than that, why would 1562D with internal directional antenna be chosen over a 1542D with internal directional antenna?

Thank you.

Hi Sandeep,

Thanks for the reply, but I need a clearer comparison between 1542D and 1562D in particular. This is for a Wireless bridging solution and I want to find out why 1562D will be chosen over 1542D, if we're not going for external antennas.

Thanks.

Go through these datasheets:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-1560-series/datasheet-c78-737416.html

Or you may contact to supplier and ask the same question. he may answer correctly.

The only difference between the two is:

1.  1542 is cheaper

2.  1542 has BLE

What about the integrated antenna coverage of both of these devices? The distance. etc.

Integrated antenna? Distance?
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

P2P Bridging and as a mesh network. Also when it comes to providing internet access for wireless access.
