The product ID prefix of "CAP" stands for "controller-based AP".  If you need to use this AP like an autonomous AP then you'll need to convert the AP from running controller-based IOS to autonomous IOS.

Hi Ramesh,

Did you tried this method:

archive download-sw /force-reload /overwrite tftp://10.0.0.1/ c1240-k9w7-mx.124-25d.JA2.tar

https://rscciew.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/access-point-conversion-lap-to-aap-and-vice-versa/

Try this instead of Mode button.

Hi all.

Only new to this. So I have a Air-Cap1602I-N-K9, version info is Software AP1G2 RCVK9W8-M, Version 15.2(2)JB, which I understand is a lightweight, So my question is which Autonomous AP IOS Software/version should I use, and the process to download it.

Cheers

Robert
