Steps:
1. download the autonomous AP (duhh?!) haha xD
-Anyway make sure you download the correct image
2. Once done, ready up your TFTP server on your computer for example and execute the following commands on AP. ASSUME THAT YOUR COMPUTER HAS 192.168.1.1 IP
#debug capwap cli no-reload -Disable Auto-Reload
#capwap ap ip address 192.168.1.100 255.255.255.0
#debug capwap console cli
#archive download-sw tftp://192.168.1.1/imagenameandstuff.tar
PS: The debug commands are HIDDEN, meaning pressing TAB auto-complete will not work.
and that is it:
wait for it to finish, and lastly reboot the device
#reload

Here is a video that describes converting lwapp/capwap to autonomous with a laptop directly connected to the AP.

If the access point is associated to a controller, you can convert via the controller.
