Hello,
I have a switch (SF300-48P 48-port 10/100 PoE Managed Switch w/Gig Uplinks) and I want to buy some APs (Cisco AIR-CAP3702i-A-K9) and a Wireless Controller (Cisco 2504 Wireless Controller). Is that working?
Someone told me that I can use APs and Wireless controller only with Cisco Catalyst 3850 (48 Port PoE IP Base), is that true?
Thanks,

It will work for unified controller based wireless. Cisco is running a special buy 2 1700/2700/3700 controllers and get a free 2500 controller.
If you went new converged access then the 3850 would be in play and the 2500 would be out of play.

Normally we use Catalyst 3850 in converge Access ,So as along as you don't need ISE or dont want to aggregate Wired and wireless then its ok you don'y need Catalyst 3850 and cna use even vWLC with any Aps , Cheap solution ;).
But if you can invest more the you can get even feature rich AP like 3700 ,so it all depends on you.
Further more in Enterprise Wireless setup we normally use 55xx series WLC and again if its SOHO wireless only setup you can use 2500 WLC also.
