No problem. So you are definitely in Autonomous mode:

System image file is "flash:/c1520-k9w7-mx.152-2.JB/c1520-k9w7-xx.152-2.JB"

Try a show flash to see if there is a k9w8 image which is possible but otherwise you will need to download a lightweight image and upgrade the image manually:

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283791419&flowid=24862&softwareid=280775090&release=15.3.3-JF&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=ED&reltype=latest

Assuming you use TFTP for example it is as simple as:

archive download-sw tftp://<ip address>/<file name> flash:

[Confirm]

e.g. archive download-sw tftp://10.1.2.3/c1550-k9w8-tar.153-3.JF.tar flash:

Reload once downloaded and it will boot into LW mode.

Hi,

So it receives an IP as you can telnet on to it.

Do you see AP Join logs on the 1552E?

Do you see AP Join logs on the Cisco WLC?

Can you do a show sysinfo and show country on your WLC?

Thanks! What version is the 1552 AP running, k9w7 or k8w8? You may need to convert the software to lightweight (k9w8).

No lightweight image available so you will need to download from Cisco or see if your company has an image available.

do I need to do this:

conf t
boot system flash:/c1520-k9w7-mx.152-2.JB/c1520-k9w7-xx.152-2.JB

to boot the flash...Right!

Unfortunately not you need an image that has k9w8 in it which means it is lightweight and will use your WLC.

archive download command not showing!

I have copy tftp...Is it OK?

Thanks

I have this image /c1550-k9w8-mx.153-3.JA Is it OK?

Thanks

Hi Ric,

I put old image in AP c1520-k9w7-mx.152-2.JB in boot system but after that I couldn't access by telnet and I am in console now but AP not taking the IP address...How can I solve this problem?

Thank you for your help

Mohammad

Hi Mohammad,

That is also an Autonomous image meaning the AP won't use the WLC. You can probably enable telnet access with:

So the AP is no longer picking up an IP via DHCP? You need to use the image you last posted with k9w8 in it as that is a Lightweight image.
