Hi Everyone,
I have recently started to learn Cisco WLC c9800 17 or 16 and for practicing, I have installed virtual WLC C 9800 in VMWARE Workstation, now I need to have 2 APs only for practice and learning.
Can you please offer which lightweight access point can I buy ? I'm looking for the cheapest because as I said, I want to learn.
Thank you all!!!

Decide the IOS-XE code which you are planning to run, and then go on checking the release notes to decide which AP you want to buy. My suggestions are Go for anything WAVE2 , cheapest can be 1800 series AP's (1815i) and also have Cisco 9105i which will enable you to test AX. You can also buy WAVE1 AP's (x700 series), but last code supported for these AP's will be 17.3.X

I would stick with v17, but that’s my preference. Also make sure you look at the matrix so you know what ap is supported on what code versions.
