Hello
I'd like to ask if it's possible to configure SCTP/M3UA on Cisco 2811 but without any serial kind of interface, only by using one Ethernet port ?
According to the document :
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/itp/RNsPDFs/RNSW4.pdf
(Caveats CSCsr01623,page 18)
Basically,I'd like just to configure one M3UA connection to far end,and do not want to connect to any TDM/E1 links, just using the SS7overIP/SIGTRAN protocols ?
Sincerely

Hi Dragan Zubac,
Cisco 2811 is able to use Sigtran SCTP/M3UA over IP network, instead of TDM/E1 link.
Make sure the IP connectivity is ok between ITP and far end Sigtran device IP.
For detial M3UA please refer to below doc.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/itp/itp_12_2_18_ipx/PDFs/12415sw4.pdf
Thank You

Hello
Thank You for the information. I'm not sure, but it seems that Cisco ITP will not allow You to configure SCTP/M3UA in client mode, only in server mode.
When I did configured an example SCTP/M3UA connection,I was able to connect to Cisco with M3UA client application, but I was unable to make Cisco ITP to connect to far end M3UA server.
Guess it means that Cisco ITP can be used only as SCTP/M3UA server and not as a client as well ?
Regarding SCTP/M2PA ,Cisco ITP is capable to act as both server and client as well.
Sincerely
Dragan Zubac
