Cisco Network Control System software

As far as I know, the NCS is an appliance. But today some people told me that he has a copy of Cisco's Network Control System software. I am confused. If what he said is true, can I install the software on the Windows platforms like Win2003 or Win2008?

NCS on VMWare

Hi there, I have a question on NCS running on VMWARE.

My customer has asked if NCS supports VMWare Tools.

They said VMWare Tools support is required for VMotion to operate if they wish to move the NCS to another machine?
