Cisco prime Infra license

Hello Experts,

I have few questions regrading PI 2.2 licensing:

whenever I order 100 or 200 life cycle license(L-P12X-LF-N-100) of Cisco PIthen I also get

1. R-P12X-N-k9 - what it means and for what its used ?

2. L-PILMS42A-100 and L.PILMS42-KIT.

  • What is it?
  • Is LMS also runs in same prime infrastructure(as I have 2.1) or need to run separately ?

Thanks

Hi,

My take on it is the R-PI2X-N-k9 is the 'top level' license indicating you are ordering for Prime version 2.x so basically ignore it unless you think it is adding an unnecessary cost.

LMS or LAN Management System is a 'legacy' system that Cisco don't want you to use as they'd rather you use prime. If you never had LMS then you can also ignore that component as it is for customer transitioning from LMS to Prime.
