Does the Cisco vWLC support the cisco AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 platform?

No it doesn't, but that is due to the software requirements.

Take a look at the 7.3 release notes for full list of supported AP

Thanks Steve.  I did review the release notes and a compatibility matrix from Cisco's site.  Just needed confirmation.

Just understand that the vWLC is for FlexConnect access points, this doesn't replace an appliance WLC.
