Hi
I have a cisco wireless AP AIR-LAP1242G-E-K9
When I plug the network cable into the back this lights come on and change colour.
Does anyone know what the lights mean when they change colour?
Thanks

Hi Jayesh,
Color change can be due to many reasons
Status LED indicates operating state, association status, error/warning condition, boot sequence, and maintenance status.
Ethernet LED indicates status of activity over the Ethernet.
Radio LED indicates status of activity over the radio.

It probably means the WAP is looking for a wireless LAN controller (since your part number says it could come with a controller-based IOS).

Normally when you plug the AP it looks for wireless lan controller to download the configuration. Best and easy thing to do is to connect to AP using a console cable and see what is going on. I think default logging user name and password is Cisco Cisco with capital C.
If Wireless Lan is there and its not joining it than check the date on the WLC.
