One of the client using wireless controller 2504 and access points, recently purchased new access point AIR-CAP1602I-C-K9 (14pcs), How to add this new AP to the existing controller. I connected the AP and its not showing controller Access points list, existing access points only there. Led status is blinking only.
When i check the AP join status summary new AP details is there and status is not connected. Attached details.
AP console showing error like "*Mar 1 00:01:48.738: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Discovery response from MWAR 'Cisco_e3:0d:a4'running version 7.0.220.0 is rejected."

The 1602 requires v7.4 minimum to join the WLC. You can reference the compatibility matrix here. Hope this helps:

if I upgrade the firmware need to reconfigure the wireless controller from the beginning ?

Please upgrade your controller to the version 7.6 or above so that the AP's 1602 can join it. As here i can see that the version 7.0.220.0 is rejected.
