Cisco WLC 2504 RTOS

Hi,

I have this error with cisco 2504:

Loading primary image (Image not found)

** Unable to read "linux.pri.img" from ide 0:2 **
** Launch failure **

Loading backup image (Image not found)

** Unable to read "linux.bak.img" from ide 0:2 **
** Launch failure **

I tried to upgrade manually but I had :

Enter filename for RTOS update: AIR-CT2500-K9-7-4-121-0.aes
Error updating RTOS, Invalid image type!

Enter filename for FP update: AIR-CT2500-K9-7-4-121-0.aes
FP update Done

What is wrong?

Contact Cisco TAC.  They can either RMA the appliance or provide step-by-step instruction on how to load the IOS back into the appliance using GRUB.

I love how everyone just tells you to contact Cisco Tac and never really offers a solution.  I have this same issue.  I have a 2504 that has lost both its primary and backup image.  Its out of warranty and not under any contract so I am kinda stuck.  Were you able to get some sort of resolution to your case?  Is the RTOS contained in the the FUS.aes file by chance?  Do you have the steps to recover your wlc?  Can you share whatever info you have?
