Cisco WLC 5508 bunzip2 Problem

Dear All,

 

We got the following bug on WLC 5508 (Release is 8.0.110.0). After receving this bug, controller is restarting itself. Unfortunately, there is no fixed released for this bug. How can we fix it?

"bunzip2: /sbin/switchdrvr.bz2: No such file or directory"

 

Note: 1702i and 2702i are installed.

WLC silent crash - memory leak

Description

Symptom:
WLC silent crash

Conditions:
Crash with no crash file or coredump, console displays:

(Cisco Controller) >Killed
Decompressing...
bunzip2: /sbin/switchdrvr.bz2: No such file or directory
Validating...... Failed... Retry 2
Decompressing...
bunzip2: /sbin/switchdrvr.bz2: No such file or directory
Validating...... Failed... Retry 3
Restarting system.

Workaround:
None at this time
