HI,

We have a current Wireless setup with WLC 4404 and Cisco LAP1242AG-N-K9  Access Point  with External Antena AIR-ANT24020V-R.Now we want to purchase Cisco WLC 5508 with Access Point  AIR-CAP2702E-x-K9 and External Antena AIR-ANT2524V4C-R= for 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz for 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac .

My Query:

1:Can we run it with mixed mode like the device which has 802.11ac/N Compatible run with 802.11 ac/n mode and device has 802 11.B/G run with  802 11.B/G mode ?

2.We will run our all Cisco LAP1242AG-N-K9  Access Point with External Antena AIR-ANT24020V-R through Cisco WLC 5508 please confirm

Regards

Hi,

Here are the answers:

1:Can we run it with mixed mode like the device which has 802.11ac/N Compatible run with 802.11 ac/n mode and device has 802 11.B/G run with  802 11.B/G mode ?

Yes you can.

2.We will run our all Cisco LAP1242AG-N-K9  Access Point with External Antena AIR-ANT24020V-R through Cisco WLC 5508 please confirm.

You can. Info: 1242AG last SW support is 8.0.x. so your WLC must not have the higher version then this otherwise your AP will not join to WLC.

Regards
