Cisco9120AXI-Z not connecting to Cisco 5520 controller

Hi 

I am trying to connect a Cisco 9120AX model AP to controller model 5520.

Software version of the Wireless Controller is 8.2.151 

Software version of the Access Point is 8.10.130.0 

Does the AP image needs to be the same as controller ?

Upgrade the WLC to 8.10.X.X.

Thanks Leo, upgraded the IOS on the controller to 8.10 and the AP worked

Hi, 

How did the update goes?

Im in the current situation and need to upgrade.

From what my version is at, i will need to do a 2 step upgrade to 8.5.x then 8.10.x.

Are there any issues you encounter when doing the upgrade? 

Did all AP came back with no issues?
