Hi Team ,

Have gone through the Cisco document and found that 5520 will supports up-to  1500 access points and i can see only added license of 50.

Kindly provide me the below clarifications.

  1. Base license [AIR-CT5520-K9]  will provide how many access-point support ?
  2. I can see added license as 50 [AIR-CT5520-50-K9] if i want to add more license then i dont find any licenses in the document. How to add other than 50 licenses.

Regards

A

In CCW, LIC-CT5520-UPG  is the top level SKU.  Once this is added, use the LIC-CT5520-1A to add as many APs as your heart desires.

Thanq lee!!

So it means once the WLC is added with LIC-CT5520-UPG then if we want 100 licenses then we should add 100 [LIC-CT5520-1A] and upload to controller.

Dont 5520 have options like 12 , 25 100 etc ap count  increment like 5508 . If answer is No ,  is there any reason behind adding 1 AP license  to WLC to achieve maximum ap count 1500?

Also Do u have any idea on how many AP's do BAse license of 5520 supports?

Hi Team ,

Could you anybody help me on the previous reply.

You purchase the amount of license you need. It can be 1, 66, 100, etc.  it's not the old way anymore. Also the license is RTU, so once you buy the license you just add the AP count to the current controller.

This controller supports up to 1500 access points. Look at the ordering section:
