Comparison of DSSS and FHSS

Hi,

Our goal is to bulid a metro wireless network over 1500 APs. We currently have some issues with our intial Aironet Deployment as we are currently using DSSS. We have five sites in place relativily close proximity of each other and are having problems with the sites bouncing, or people loosing connectivity all together (overlapping problems).

I'm wondering if DSSS technology has a scalibilty issue. Is there a workaround for this or should we be looking into having to use FHSS? Does the Aironet 1200 support fhss?

Any info would be appriciated.

Cisco Aironet Devices are only DSSS technology. With FHSS you would ahve not the bandwith.

If you are having problems with overlapping issues you could reduce the sending power. or something like that.
