Hello,
I am trying to build a test lab to test Radius athentication for my Wireless Controller.
The question is: Can I plug my WC into a basic Cisco home router and browse to it?
I have tried putting the WC on the same subnet, the gateway is the same, but I can not browse to the device.
I am plugged into the management port and that port is the one that I have configured.
Any help would be great.
Thank you,
Jim

It is feasible. If you can "ping" the WLC, then you should be good. Now, if you are "plugged in to the management port" directly with your laptop, then you need to make sure
1. The WLC Management interface is not "tagged"
2. Your client NIC is 1000 full capable (set to 1000/Full) as the WLC will not "negotiate" anything else.
Also, you need to make sure your interface/switchport config are matching in terms of VLAN tagging/Native VLAN if you are plugging it in to you Cisco home router. I'm not sure if you're talking about SB or Enterprise device, or a "Linksys" Cisco product. If you "can't configure VLANS", then make sure your WLC management interface is "untagged".
From "console" access, you can issue...
(Cisco Controller) >config interface vlan management 0
