config-change alert on WLC

Hi,

Is it possible to send config-change alert with details from WLC 4404 to syslog or snmp server?

Under SNMP parameter, config-save option is enabled but it is only showing config saved snmp message which is not sufficient for us.

WLC is configured with syslog with severity level debugging but I'm not able to see any configuration change details alert on syslog server.

Is there any other severity level I should use to see config-change details alerts ?"

Hi Nomair,

Only way is to compare two configuration backups of your 4400.

If you have a proper NMS (eg -Solarwinds) they have this functionality where it will automatically takes configuration backup at set time & when configuration get changed. So it can send you an email with configuration differences.

Yes, there is no other easy way of getting real time config change alert with what was modified in AireOS WLC without using a NMS.
