Hello,
I like to configure a Cisco AP1852I (ref. AP1852I-E-K9) as a standalone access point so I can specify myself a static IP-address and other configurations.
When I connect the PoE access point, it doesn't show me the SSID as specified in the manual...
Can anyone help me with this? Please explain as easy as possible. Sorry but I'm not really an expert in this stuff...

Hi
Are you able to connect to the using ssh/telnet/console?
If you are, then, run the command "show version" and share the output please.
-If I helped you somehow, please, rate it as useful.-

1. Connect a blue console cable from your lpatop to AP.
2. Check if AP has CAPWAP or Mobility express image by using the command sh version.
If its have CAPWAP then you need a WLC to join it else (if it has Mobility express) then you configure as standalone ap.
