hello to all...

i have connectivity like this:

VLAN2 |

|

Host2--- |

VLAN3

i have created 2 vlan on AP... and fastethernetport of the AP is connected to the cisco2950 and cisco2950 is connected to the Linux server...

now i have multiple AP which are connected with the same cisco2950 and all AP have different VLAN...

i created the trunk link between cisco2950 and linux box... and as per vendor of AP ... ethernet port of AP also provide the trunk facility... so now therorycally every thing looks good but i am not able to ping linux server interface from client... each and every point receive the SSID from the AP properly...

so can enybody explain me what will be error...

is your linux box NIC configured to handle 802.1q? if not, it would need to be. if it cannot handle 802.1q then remove the trunk from the 2950 to the linux box.

also, verify any 802.1x is disabled if it's not required.

if all else fails, paste configs and we can double check to see if any problems exist.
