Anyone know how to use the existing Cisco console cable for the model 1200 (9 pin female to RJ45) on the old model 350 with a female 9 pin serial port. I have tried 9 pin adapters with the Cisco console cable.
To compound problems I have laptop with only a USB port no serial interface. This is not a problem for the 1200 console cables and a serial to USB adapter, but it makes this adaptation even more difficult.
Thanks,
Greg

The Cisco 1200 console cable is unusable on the model 350. The only cable usable is a straight through 9 pin serial cable with male on one end and female on the other. I had the USB to serial cable already and was hoping to use the console cable from the 1200. This is not possible even with gender changers.
