Consultation about configuration from Console at Cisco. iw3702-2e-a-k9

Hello,

The team always shows me the following:

*Mar 1 16:53:55.863: %CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC. Either IP address is not assigned or assigned IP is wrong. Renewing DHCP IP.

The AP was factory reset with the reset button.
When starting in the console, it accepts the Cisco username and Cisco password.
The connection that I have made is direct to the console port and the POE power supply directly to the Network port of my PC.

Assigning an IP to the BVI1 resets it to unassigned after 30 seconds.

My question is what is the correct procedure in which this equipment must be configured in any of its Access Point or Repeater work modes.
I would appreciate knowing if there is a step by step procedure for beginners or if I have to handle some additional concepts.

I don't have a driver for what the WLC requests, is there a way to disable the use of this to use it as a classic or normal AP.

1. Are you saying you want to run these APs as standalone without a WLC?  If so that is called autonomous mode.
In that case you need to convert the AP to autonomous using software downloaded from https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286287624/type/284180979/release/15.3.3-JPN1
You can search for many instructions and videos on how to convert from CAPWAP to autonomous.
eg: from one of our community regulars https://mrncciew.com/2012/10/20/lightweight-to-autonomous-conversion/

2. If you actually want to run it with a WLC then you need to understand the possible methods for WLC discovery:

I think the AP is currently not running an autonomous image : https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286287624/type/284180979/release/15.3.3-JPN1
