Controller connection

I have configured a controller with a IP address, everything is working, I can get to the controller from the sup 720. and I can get to anywhere on the network from the router. but when I try to http into the controller from the network it doesn't respond. when I session into the controller I cannot ping anywhere. what could be the issue?

Any chance you tagged the management interface of the controller with a specific vlan number and set the "wism module <#> controller <#> native-vlan <#>"

If this is the case, make sure the management interface is untagged (0).
