Could not apply interface override

We have just implemented a 5508 controller pair with MSE, Prime, and ISE. The system is working well, but I keep getting the following message in the log of the controller:

[ERROR] apf_policy.c 3383: Could not apply interface override:
source Override Summation, interface '30', vlanId: 0x1e

Our APs are all set for FlexConnect so it seems to be reporting an issue applying the vlan override on an AP, but I have no reported issues of this not working. I cannot find this error anywhere in a reference guide. VLAN 30 is our local flexconnect user subnet.

2nd question regards the apf_policy.c 3383. Does this refer to a specific AP? If so is there some cross reference for this 3383 number to an actual AP in my system. I can't find any correlation. I've looked at MAC address, SN, etc.. and I don't see any correlation.

hi,

I am having the same error message on flex 7510 controllers as well.

Any ideas please, much appreciated

Might be a cosmetic bug to be honest if everything is working fine.  You can open a TAC case so they can identify it as a bug or tell you if there is already a bud id.

Vlan1d:0x1e i.e 30 , can you set no vlan override to vlan 30 in the
ISE and test if the error is thrown again

Saurav,

i think you better approach TAC to rectify the issue.

Make sure the vlan exist on the AP by either via WLAN VLAN mapping or ACL mapping. This guy explains it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO4GjFc2bQA)
Make sure the "Floxconnect Local Switching" is enabled on the WLAN -> Advanced -> Flexconnect.
