Good day all,
We want to connect the LAN of two buildings about 500 feet using a wireless bridge.
We are thinking of using the 1562E access points to do the bridge.
We are seeing that one of the access points have to be the Root Access Point (RAP) and one as the Mesh Access Point (MAP), which usually suggests that it is a mesh deployment. Based on that we have a few questions:
1. Do the access points have to be used in mesh mode?
2. Does a controller have to be used for both access points to support bridging?
3. Can the mobility express software be used or do we have to use the autonomous software (providing that the controller doesnt have to be used)

1. Yes, this AP model does not have Autonomous Image, so only way is to use in Mesh mode
2. Yes, in mesh mode both AP need to register with a WLC. Refer below deployment guide
3. There is no autonomous image for this AP model. Has to be controller managed. Mobility Express is not ideal

If you read given URL, it indicates antenna comes with those bracket. So you should be good with that.
Step 1 Remove antenna and mount kit from packaging.
Step 2 Attach antenna mount bracket to the back of the antenna as shown applying a maximum nut-tightening torque of 12 in-lbf (1.1 Nm).

Thanks alot for the reply.
Also, im looking at the antennas to go with the AP.
Im selecting the AIR-ANT2588P3M-N= (directional antenna). Do the antennas come with the mounting brackets or do we have to order separately.
Based on the documentation within the install guide, https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/antenna/installation/guide/ant2588p3m-n.html#wp70810 (See attached picture)
It says what are the tools and equipment required but doesn't say outright that they come with the antenna.
Does anyone know if the packaging actually comes with the required equipment or do i need to order separately?
I already included the cables and lightning arrestors separately.
